Trick #1 – Consider Breaking It In

To break in a yoga mat, you first need to choose one side to be the back, and the other one to be the front. One end will serve as a place to break in while the other end of the mat will be the side you leave as it is. This way, you have one side of the mat that’s meant for your feet, and the other end will be used for your hands.
Trick #2 – Use a Towel
Another conventional method to help remove slickness is to use another material to help give you a better grip. Firstly, you need to spray your yoga mat down with a thin layer of water. After this, apply a thin layer of cotton material through either another yoga mat or a towel and lay it directly on top of the mat.
